[TYPO3-dev] Could someone commit my bug fix to svn ?

Hi Michael,

I didn't assign the bug to Robert Lemke, some admin of the bugtracker did it
or maybe Robert subscribed to this bug on his own. Anyway, I don't believe
basic users reporting bugs have the ability to choose whom they'll be
assigned to.

Also, I wasn't saying what Robert should do of his spare time, I was just
telling a bug fix was present and, as it would be too bad for the community
if it wasn't noticed, I wish someone empowered could commit it to the main
trunk. No more, no less.

I've had an experience in the past of fixing a bug in the flash extension of
Robert. I sent him the patch, but never had a response from him and the bug
has never been fixed. I have not critics against Robert and, given the high
amount of contributions he has made to Typo3 I can fully understand if he is
overwhelmed by work and if he is very selective about what issues he deals
with.

But that doesn't mean the time I spend on fixing bugs should be useless and
bug fixing contributions should be forgotten because one member has no free
time left. This issue I have fixed relates to IE7 and is due to affect a
very high amount of PC users. Thus my post.

I have just posted in the bug repord a diff as recommended by Olivier Hader

Regards,

Alban

Hi Alban,

You should not assign a bug to a developer on your own. It's the same like
if I would tell you what you have to do during your spare time...
