Hi Guys,
I was wondering if somebody did something familiar like the following case:
A client of us wants to make it possible for its customers to have their
own small websites, with predefined functionality like a photo gallery,
a blog, not community related plugins and some other functionality which
are client specific.
These websites are build using a tool in the frontend where the customer
can choose its own template and subdomain. When the website is created a
predefined page tree, with predefined plugins, is copied within TYPO3.
Everything is done automatically, so no administrator is involved.
Attaching the subdomain, user rights, TS configuration, everything is
done by this system.
The customer which owns the website maintains the new website in the
Frontend, NOT the backend. I know this will need rewriting of some used
plugins, but that's ok.
Did somebody ever write some extension with this functionality, because
when something exists like this I don't have to reinvent the wheel? I'm
not talking about the community extensions already in the TER. The
websites need to be separate from each other, within the same TYPO3
installation. Everything has to be done in the frontend, no maintance in
the backend (at least, not by an administrator when a website is created
and definately not by the customer).
It's like the freesite extension we had in the past, but everything
needs to be done in the frontend automatically.
I know about Involve, and it needs to be like that as well, but I was
wondering if there are more systems around
I know about TYPO3ABC, but this system is backend related.
Microsites has the right functionality, but is only a library.
