IMHO the point is: on a page with lot of simultanious writes InnoDB is 
required so indexing can be done by FE display. But with InnoDB no 
fulltext index is available, i.e. search queries bring the server down. 
No one will use indexd_search.

Question: why waste ressources and index the content?

;-)

With this approach (InnoDB) indexed_search can only be used on small 
sites. But than again the question raises: why do I need InnoDB ;-)
