[TYPO3-dev] Links created in RTE field are not "translated" to HTML links

Hi

In one of my extensions I have just noticed that when a user creates a 
link in a RTE field its not translated but show something like this in 
the source:

<link http://www.findvej.dk/Toftsvej40,6700 - 
external-link-new-window>her<br /></link>

Formatting like bold and italics works fine

What causes the link problem?
