Hi Ries,

you're right, Implementation in rtp_smarty is better, but not updated since 
1,5 years. Next: the author is a team, not single person. I contacted too 
but no reaction.

Of coarse i would optimize it like in rtp_smarty, but first of all i need to 
clear this issue ;)
