[TYPO3-dev] PEAR and TYPO3, are they enemies for eternaty?

How clever Peter! 

Do you really suggest to provide extensions if we can't be sure that
the server admins out there allways do this setup? It would generate
endless troubles and damage the reputation of the TYPO3 project.

The TYPO3 setup needs to assure itself, that PEAR installations are
possible for the regular admin on TYPO3 level. It can only work that
way.
