[TYPO3-dev] how to download a file from a TCE form?

i just discovered this big issue (if i'm not wrong):

whenever you upload a file in a record (with TCE, or from the FE ), you can't download that file from the BE TCE form!?!

if you are lucky and the file is and image (or pdf or any file that can have a preview), clicking on it it opens a details window with a direct link to the file

but if the file is something else (like a video or a RTF), it give you an empty icon and no popup!

am i wrong or should i open the issue in the bugtracker?

(i have to manage files uploaded from FE users.. so or i develop a custom BE module (arg), or i should fix this problem...)
