[TYPO3-dev] Upgrading existing site to 4.2 via COMPARE in Install Tool

Hey Folks,

is there any way to update an existing 4.1 website to 4.2 via INSTALL 
TOOL? I don't get to the point where to execute the DB compare.

I was asked if I'd like to use the 2.0 install tool or install the old one.

Somehow neither way has been working for me. After the 1st try I was not 
asked again which install tool I'd like to use.

I'm getting a bunch of SQL errors and a new menu on the top left of the 
screen with a search function and a menu:

# Dataase
# Graphics
# Server
# System

But nothing is happening.

Is there a way to execute the COMPARE via shell or some other workaround?
