[TYPO3-dev] Front End plugin - multiple versions

Hi

Im making an extension (front end plugin) about available housing. It 
has to be possible to insert it on the frontpage showing only five of 
the latest subjects and on differnt page, showing all subjects.

How do I add a selector box to the plugin in the BE where its possible 
to choose which version of the plugin to insert?

Kinda like the tt_news plugin.
