[TYPO3-dev] $this->pi_exec_query doesn't work correct with workspaces?

This function is nothing new, as far as I understand. pi_exec_query() 
and all other database-function in TYPO3 are already an API to store and 
retieve data. The only problem is, that this API does not handle all the 
issues concerning workspaces.
Maybe I misunderstood you, but I cannot believe that version 5.0 will 
come without workspaces. We still need a concept like workspaces, where 
editors can manipulate the entries and the pagetree and send them to 
chief editors to review and publish.
Actual projects depend heavily on this feature. Unfortunately I have so 
much trouble with it.
