[TYPO3-dev] flexforms specification

i created my first flexform by looking at tt_news but that's not the way
i'm usually developing. it's much faster when i can actually look up
which elements are avialable and not install several extensions to get
the idea.
sticking with the tca spec is the way to go?
is it a 1:1 mapping?
