[TYPO3-dev] Workspaces and Frontend editing

I've noticed comments in the code along the lines of, "only supported in
Live workspace (because of incomplete implementation)".
I was wondering if this is being worked on. If not, I am willing to put
effort towards it as my work is requiring that frontend editing be
implimented with at least the live and draft workspaces.
