I think we somehow chose not a very suitable time to start a discussion 
about that as all the core devs are into fixing stuff for 4.0.

But imo it is a very important topic especially considering the fact 
that TYPO3 in its deep core is a database management tool. So it should 
also be able to handle MM records that have additional attributes attached.

Therefore we should definately keep up this discussion and create a 
feature request in the bugtracker, in order not to forget it until some 
of the core devs might have the time to take a look on this request and 
can tell us something about the feasibility.

I'd of cause provide any help I can. I'd also like to write a patch but 
I am afraid that this will be a patch concerning a lot of core files and 
will overrun my still poor knowledge of the core.
