For non developers/end users one extension may be "easier" however I
could be wrong. I'm assuming using hooks would keep the extensions
separate and easy to integrate? I'm excited to see you're choosing to
work with extendedshop.
2 years ago I was involved in a business that could have really used a
reservation system you are describing now. When a good solution is
available I may be able to locate sponsors again.
Would it be possible to take advantage of the new TYPO3 calendar
extension for managing reservations and schedules? I believe it will be
able to sync with Mozilla Sunbird through the iCal files on other
servers. http://www.innerjoin.org/iCalendar/

Also have a look at the t.u.australia newsgroup. There appears to be
some good ideas here about an ecommerce reservation system called
osCommRes. osCommRes appears to be using a data bridge between
osCommerce and TYPO3. It would be nice if we could achieve the same
effect with extendedshop instead of osCommerce.

Kind regards,
Greg
