I wouldn't call it mis-use ;-) Just a great combination.

Of course the main use for a guestbook should be clear, if we then can use
it for other things too, this is great and shows networking among the
extensions. Why always reinventing the wheel?

agreed, good point, this should definitly be something we need to take into
account when reconstructing such things like a guestbook. This is actually
why I based TIMTAB on ve_guestbook and the perspective I have with a
reconstruction.
