Well - correct me if I got you wrong, but isn't this exactly what phpmyadmin
already can do?
What exactly is the goal for your approach?
Who will need those editable tables and for which reason?
And if you really want to accept breaking backwards compatibility this must
be a _very_ good reason ;-)
