An alternative would be to rename it to 'security checked' and leaf it
unchecked by default. Some security hints could be made somewhere else
so everyone is warned before he installs exensions.
BTW such a security check for an extension must be done for each version
going online. No author can publish his extensions to TER without a
permission from security people. If he does not want to wait for so long
(lack of money to pay them), then he will upload an unsecure version of
his extension even if it had been checked in the past.
Therefore it would be necessary to have the information about a security
check in the file ext_emconf.php in some encrypted form or the EM must
verify this that the extension authors cannot easily edit this by
themselves.
