Hi JH,

That sounds interesting! A colleague of mine will send you an e-mail, if
that is okay with you, about this. He is more into svn, in fact he has
set up the whole Komodo-SubVersion infrastructure here at work.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Regards, Jigal.

Hello,

we are using a small extension to export sys_templates to xml-files.
That's better for versioning compared to an sql-dump, if you want to see
changes being made. The other thing is that we use an extension, which
makes use of the cli svn-client. This way developers can use the backend
to submit changesets to the repository without knowing a lot about svn.
Both extensions are experimental / alpha, but I will work in that in 2
or 3 weeks... If you want to test it, send in ideas and suggestions, I
could send them.

Hi all,

With all our other sites we use the combination of Komodo and SubVersion
(with a few extra scripts) to edit source code, store changes in a
versioning system and have a copy on the development server with
relative ease.

Is there anyone with experience on using SubVersion with TYPO3? Storing
the source code in SubVersion is easy, but are there any tricks to
manage changes in TypoScript, database records, etc.? We always use a
development server, an accept server and a production server for each
site, but moving changes to accept and production is far from simple
when it comes to non-source code items.

Regards,

Jigal van Hemert
