No, they don't. People have been allowed to look into the source code 
for a long time, as "shared-source". However, this has nothing to do 
with open sourcing the products, as MS will not allow modification, 
redistribution, etc.

Elmar, why do you think this is newsworthy, and why the hell do you post 
this is -dev when we have -offtopic which this certainly is?
