Talking of saving resources. Norman Seibert has already publish an extension or
ajax. Sebastian Kurfuerst has started ajax development. He was asking for advice
und support and already in december.

Theme of the discussion was if it wouldn't be less cost intensive on the long
run to base typo3-ajax on an existing ajax implementation. The result was, that
it would be to early decide for one of them. One proposal was to have an own API
so that the lib in the BE could be exchange if needed.

Wouldn't it be an idea to get in contact with them both to found a common
developer team for an ajax library/server? I think it isn't the strongest side
of TYPO3 that extensions are regularly develped and maintained by one person
only and to do all the work in competition.

Follow ups to typo3.teams.extension-coordination.

Regards

Elmar
