[TYPO3-dev] diplay a content-element within a extension

hallo,

i am writing an extension that should render a single div-element. 
within the div-element a selected content-element should be displayed. i 
have no problems rendering the div-element but i got no clue how to get 
the content-element displayed within the element. i found the 
"insert-record"-content-element that provides the functionality of 
displaying every selected content-element. i want a functionality like 
that for my plugin but i could not find any peace of code from the 
insert-record-content-element.
please help me to solve this problem.
