[TYPO3-dev] UTF-8 and correct sorting for German umlauts

Which version?

Anyway: if TYPO3 supports character set switch it HAS to take care to 
send the correct initialisation. Otherwise MYSQL will always have 
problems to sort the characters correctly.
 From my understanding this a bug.
