[TYPO3-dev] tt_news bug in combination with localization & workspaces?

Hi,

We have a typo3 installation on Debian linux, running on apache with 
Typo3 4.0.1 installed.

We are using tt_news extension in combination with custom workspaces and 
localization.

Please take a look at the following situations:

When we are in LIST mode, and click on the sysfolder where the newsitems 
are stored, we create a new News record and save it.
Then we click on the icon next to the news item to create a translation.
In the translation we have a problem: the "News type" is a number 
instead of a dropdown menu:
- number 1 when we created a "Link internal page" (original is "Link 
internal page", translation is a newsitem)
- number 0 when we created a normal newsitem (original + translation are 
newsitem)
We are not able to change this anymore, because there is no dropdown 
menu anymore, but only a number.

I tried this with restricted users, with normal admin users (without any 
group applied), within a custom workspace and within the normal Live 
workspace.
All the same results.


Now is the question: do we do something wrong, or is this a bug?

I think the bug is related to workspaces, because we didn't have the 
problem when using Typo3 4.0 in Live workspace...
