[TYPO3-dev] FYI: Zend PHP5 Certification

Hi developers,

just for your information. Yesterday was a webcast from Dhwani Vahia 
(Zend's Education Programs Manager) about the coming PHP 5 Certification.

Here is a short summary:

- actual in beta-phase
- available 31st, August
- PHP 4 and PHP 5 certification will be available through 2006
- PHP 5 Certification will be a complete new, re-written exam (no 
upgrade exam with less questions)
- same costs as PHP 4 cert
- 90 minutes, 70 questions as for PHP 4
- New cert-title will be called "PHP 5 Certification"
- Old cert-title will remain "PHP Certification", but can be called "PHP 
4 Certification"
- a new "Study Guide" will be available, as soon as the exam is official
- there will be online practice tests available
- at the end of the exam you will retrieve a summary, where your 
strengths/weakness are listed, but still no points or something like that
- there will still be no recertification requirement
- at the php|db/works conference you are able to make an offline exam [1]
- there will be a discount for actual ZCEs to make the new exam
- additional information can be retrieved on the official zend-website [2]
