[TYPO3-dev] extension kickstarter: link field: how to get link

Hi,

when I add a link field to a table with the extension kickstarter,
then that seems to add a simple text field to the database but also
adds a wizard icon to the form. The wizard lets me choose a page id or
enter an email address. All data is saved literally in the field. How
am I supposed to make a link from that field in the frontend plugin?
