This is a real show stopper for me. I have some customers on shared Hosts and begin to hate using typo3, because it is really anoying to have to upload every extension by hand. And if there is a dependency-error (which currently has almost every extension - even the one's designed to work with 4.0 as of the version-number bug) typo3 looses the uploaded file after overriding the dependency-check.
And even if it has no dependecy problem (if eliminated before by hand again), uploads fine and installs, there is still a server-error right after installation and the page remains white.

It's almost not useable on shared hosts anymore and causes work overhead which really sucks.
