[TYPO3-dev] Hook sys_stat-PreProcClass inactive?

Hi,
I have written an extension (not published yet) that uses the hook
sys_stat-PreProcClass. The extension was developed on 3.8.1 and worked
fine. However, now in 4.0 the function that's hooked onto
sys_stat-PreProcClass is never called. The hook still exists and I don't
see why it should not be executed every time a page is delivered.
However, this still seems to be the case.

Any hints?
