I strongly second that. I have even heard from developers of some quite
popular commercial CMS that they are missing a central administration
interface like the BE in their products.

BE is so strong and powerful that I definitly want to keep it. Also,
there are no discrepancies between FE and BE. Just start learning the
basics in FE(_editing), and use the BE if you need to. No problem with
that, just adds another frameset with more menu-items and functions.
