[TYPO3-dev] Plugin blank after upgrade to Typo3 4.0

Hi all,

I am developing a frontend plugin for Typo3 (not yet published) which 
works flawlessly with version 3.8.1.

I then tried installing it on version 4.0 to test its compatibility. The 
input part (a rather simple FlexForm) works as expected, but no 
rendering is done when I view the page. Indeed my extension doesn't even 
seem to be called, since inserting a simple "exit" statement doesn't 
stop the execution of the page.

Is there some obvious change from 3.8.1 to 4.0 that would cause such a 
behaviour? Has anyone experienced something similar?
