[TYPO3-dev] Moving the topic of the discussion a little bit -- Based of thread "Change roadmap..."

Hi Sven,

thank you for your ideas. It would be great if you and others continue
brainstorming about how you imagine the development of TYPO3 5.0. I would
like to hold myself back for a while so we have the chance to get some
fresh ideas. Of course there have been several discussions between Kasper,
me and several other developers (you included) and it would be very
interesting to see what approach others would take.

I'd like to paste in some important information I recently posted to the
core list:

> The plan is that we start development of 4.5 and 5.0 at the same time.

So, keep that in mind (parallel development) and also that the goal for 5.0
_is_ a fundamental change (everything is allowed in the brainstorming
phase) while we'll keep the soul and spirit of TYPO3 in it.

I'm really interested in how the developer community thinks about these two
points:

  - which components must TYPO3 5.0 consist of? (examples: content
repository, authentication modules, templating engine, ...)

  - what parts do you consider the soul of TYPO3 which should we kept
in 5.0 (example: TypoScript, but object oriented?)

Until Easter I have a bunch of other things to work on but then I'll join
the discussion, too ...

Cheers,
robert
