[TYPO3-dev] Bug in Typo3 4.0

Hi all,

I have just installed and configured Typo3 version 4.0 and found a 
serious bug in it. I installed and configured one of my extensions. It 
worked fine. But after making some minor changes in extension code when 
I tried to re-upload and overwrite the previous installation of 
extension, it failed. Nothing happened after selecting 'Overwrite any 
existing extension!' checkbox and pressing 'Upload extension file' button.

I noticed this problem first on one of my client's live server, and then 
mine.
