well the problem concerns some common used plugins - my e-mail friend 
complained me about direct mail that newest don't work in Typo3 3.8.1 
and older in 4.0.

agreed - I just want that I can trust that it supports them also in 
future. In this list has been comments to put Modern Template Building 
into grave as obsole - that is extremely bad concerning backward 
compatibility
