Tapio,
From all the CMS systems I have seen I think that typo3 support
backwards compatibilities the best of all.
I have worked with systems that I really needed to modify my extensions
with each MINOR upgrade of the core
of the CMS. I never needed to do that in Typo3.
The mayor upgrade from 3.8.1 to 4.0 went smootly, even for my 2600page
site with about 20+ customer extensions.
From all the CMS (open source) I have seen is that typo3 supports the
most flexible Template system found.
I think that's quite a good archivement.
I know people have been working with a CMS like Vingette they pay
+$50.000 for there implementation.
And when they see Typo3 then they say.... AMAZING!!!
Don't forget this as all voluntary work and you are still allowed to
sponsor as many Typo3 projects as you whish.
It would be nice if you have say like $50.000 to sponsor Core Cleanup,
Extension developments etc etc.
And if you give that to the right people I'll bet ya that work will get
done.
Do you have 50.000 for us??? For Sebastian, Robert, Kasper, Bernhard and
meny other core developers???
If not, please give them the time to make Typo3 even better than it is
right now.
Cheers,
Ries
