Hi,

they seem to have a problem, because the link to "Internet Explorer
ActiveX Update" at that page doesn't work. In the moment it links to the
knowledge-base-article # 912945. Does anybody use the MSDN-stuff and can
look for it?

Oh I really love the IE. Life would be sooo boring without that
wonderfull software.

ActiveX seems to have the state of a "plugin" - so I think AJAX has to
be activated by a click when a site wants to use it. I think nobody has
to change javascript-code for using AJAX in IE6. In IE7 it should not be
a problem because then it's not driven by activeX anymore. So the web is
a little bit more secure.

The big problem is IMHO that EOLA wanted to have a high price for their
patent. Now they've won against a big fish - so it's worth much money.
MS seem use a trick to prevent a conflict. Let's hope, that we don't get
that strange software-patents in europe, too!!!

kind regards
