I would keep existing functions as is but add many new useful ones: like
getting parameter from flexform first and $conf if it is not found in
flexform. Now I just copy it to every my new extension :(

Also it would be nice to change this pi_USER_INT_obj because this name
is completely wrong and only confuses people. Many think that setting it
to true makes object USER_INT.
