I guess you are using FF ... probably under Linux ?

Because I have the same problem:
You switch the TAB of the Flexform and only the "alternative" languages get replace
by their new content but the fields of the default language stay unchanged. You have
to save once to get the TAB (of the default language) you selected rendered properly.

This is an ugly workaround but currently I don't have time to dig into this.
