I had the same problem, but more with the maximum exeution time of 
loading extensions. Even on a fast server.
Will this not be a problem for quite a lot of users where the 
max_exeution_time is set to 30 seconds and the amouth of memory to 
'just' 24MB.

This is still true for RC3, this might be a showstopper since I think 
quite a lot of users that use a shared hosting environment will have 
problems with that.
