Those four are realy nice ones,
posted a "request" about 2 years ago to the same topic here (or was it
the german list ? can´t remeber). At that time I started with Typo3 an
came from Contenido - CMS they got exactly the same editing service
in FE - Mode you guys are talking about. Back then I could not realy
explain the difference here, so no one realy understood what I meant.
This feature would be a realy nice one to have for editors that use
FE-Editing. In fact to my mind it would be the best way if we compare
our model of FE -Editing with that one so that editors have more control
of the layout whie editing the content.
For example it could be like this:
When an editor comes a cross a page where he has the rights to change
something he still got the Editicons to get in the editing mode (to my
mind this is more secure then just clicking into the text). When he did
so the area belonging to the editicon becomes editable in site the way
it does at the demo editland.de (this controlpanel is realy nice, isn´t
it ?).
Don´t get me wrong, I know we got a FE - Editing even with the RTE in
the page, but that does not realy give the editor a layout control the
way it does for example at editland.de . But if we implement a feature
like that it should work cross browser and cross platform, to my mind it
would be very annoying if it would only work at windows with IE 5.5 or
higher (like the editland.de one).
