Sorry guys,
but what the hell you are all discussing about ?!
We got TV for Templating, and it does divide all those departments where
they belong,...
Designers do the Design, Webproducer does his Html,CSS and Javascript
works, Developer develops his extensions and sets up a little
more then about 10 to 15 lines TS for a basic page ... so where is the
problem ?
Stop discussing about some other templating engines and start to support
Robert and Kasper with TV so that we got TV to Map also XML
in Future an not only HTML...
And please stop talking about Smarty it is to my mind old crap nothing
less nothing more,... it is just usefull for developing nerds and no one
else... belive me guys me I am both Designer and Developer...
For you it might be the best way to setup your templates because you are
used to using smarty and miles of PHP codes across your templates, but
belive me guys as projects start to become bigger you´ll have to
seperate the departments to get to a good final, and neither Designers
nor Webproducers would learn how to act with smarty in a short time
because it is not intuitive for non programmers.
The most usefull Extension for templating we got is TV because everyone
in the team can do what he is supposed to, and in your Templates you can
finalize all the design and html stuff you need for the professionell
look of a page.
