Fact is, that it never has been unsearchable

Actually there is only the default search from mailman, or whateever the 
prog is called, but personaly I do prefer this search over the old 
typo3.org search

Additionaly you are able to search in ALL lists that way, not only in 
the 4 or 5 you were searching before
