[Typo3-dev] The 4.0 release process - what's cooking?

Hi *,

now that TYCON is successfully completed and t3.org is also working 
again, I just want to ask what's going on with the 4.0 release?
I guess there has been a kind of break in development because of summer 
holidays and conference preparation, but if we want to release in 
december, we should rather start soon ;)

1. Since the deadline for application was sept. 5, what's the status of 
the pending tasks for 4.0? Where is help in coding, testing, etc. needed?
2. Is it desired and realistic that TER 2.0 comes out at the same time, 
or can we decouple both releases which would probably make life easier 
for Robert. Plus, is there TER 2 code already available for interested 
parties?
