It should have been the association, after getting input from the community.
But everyone should understand that the primary goal is getting god english
documentation.

I like the word "guidelines". Yes - we should have "guidelines" for many
of the aspect in the community. Not strict one, but enough to point out clear
directions. I think the Association board should give som priority to this
question as soon as version 4 and the CI is out. But it's important to get
ideas and input from the community.

I think the official TYPO3 spelling should be UK English. Not because it
bother me to read US English (80 % of the scientific literature in my field
are US English), but because in most non-english countries you learn the
UK spelling in schools. It also a waste of resources in the community to
proofread documents on this level. Proofreading to make them easier to read
and understand, I agree.
