Hi to all,
I'm an internet developer, a poor T3 developer and a T3 user from late
2004: so, I want to give you a "user perspective", surely not a dev-one
(I don't know if this will be useful, but give me a try :) )
I'm really impressed about this discussion: I'm reading all this thread
thinking "yes, finally T3 core devs are approaching lots of points in
which we lack".
This is the first time I read something like this and I'm really happy
for us...and thanks to all of you :)
I don't want to write in this message a lot of things, only one: the
feedback to users and developers is really important, and until now it's
a great miss for all.
I'm an admin on italian wikipedia [1], and until now the visible global
handling of T3 wiki (remember: I say "visible", public) don't gave me
enough motivation to help in this task. Often a "normal user" has the
distinct sensation well described by Peter Kindstrom: "who really cares
about it?"
So I say: if the direction is "more partecipation, more coordination,
more attention", I want to give my help mantaining the T3 wiki as part
of documentation project.
I'm writing here, and not in the documentation list, because the real
message I want to give you is: "look: give people more motivation and
more appreciation for their works, and they come. Not in months, but
instead really fast" [2] :)
I think that my own contribute is really not important: even if in a
month I'll stop contributing in the T3 wiki, this mail wants to say only
a basic statement: "it's the right way, continue".
Thank you all again,
Matteo
