I think we have no "offical" name until now :) To be correct just one of
us four (Sebastian Kurfürst) is still a student, Michael is employed as
you know and also Valentin. I am self-employed (own company) from 1. of
November.

But you will have to admit that one must feed himself and have to earn
money. If you work in a company you always work for you boss and he
earns money for you doing something. Now with my own company I think
there will be more for me left and I can invest more of my time into T3
work - at least if everything runs as expected :)
The companies I worked for until now didn't really have a interest to
finance the work I was doing on implement Extensions and patches.
Altough my last boss allowed me to answer Newsgroup postings when I had
to wait for something other to finish he did not want me to create
"proper" patches I could submit to the list instead of doing "quick
hacks". Whenever I asked him to decide wheter I should make the proper
patch which of course would have taken some hours more (proper testing,
documentation, communication on the core list, reworking, testing again
.....)
I will for sure invest a lot of time into the future of TYPO3. And I
think I can do this at the best if my work can focus on improving the
actual situation and not earning money 8h/5d a week.
greets,
Bernhard
