I’ve been there and I can tell you it was not an easy task just to get
people work with the same vision. One of the old problems with this task
is the same as the one with core development (see last post). In the
past, people have put corrections with the annotation feature to see
those ignored with the next release. Instead of just publishing a new
version of a Doc, why the DocTEAM or documentation list has never been
aware of a new version coming? Maybe someone was ready to do
proofreading and annotation addition?
It's hard to get people to work when they have the impression of being
ignored.
It could also be a bit depressing to provide new documentation when
there's 10 German books about TYPO3...

If you want to see action I suggest you look at what Michelle is trying
to do in USA (list typo3.ug.us).
In the last weeks, they (read native English speakers!) have done some
proofreading on key extensions and it looks like they will go further.
Let's see if they transform talk into reality.
