[Typo3-dev] Is Typo3 Robust ?

Hi List,

I'm writing this here because I feel many people here have the most
knowledge in Typo3.

I am wondering how a Typo3 installation would hold up, with approx.
200 root level "sites" containing approx. 25 pages each. Also on the
user side many backend users, and also about 6000 FE users per 3 years
(with an ldap connection).

I am aware that the question is more geared towards the strengh of
MYSQL, but has anyone ever experienced with a huge Typo3 installation?

Would an other SQL platform be better (if even possible)?

We are thinking of creating our learning infrastucture in Typo 3,
complete with extensions of our owns and others available( forum,
blog, news .. etc). We are a little worried that woul could see too
"big" for what we want to do.

As for the hardware side, we've got dedicated, brand new servers so we
are not really hardware-limited.

Thanks for any inputs !
