DBAL uses die Extension "adodb" for some month now.
So you have to install this ext, then configure DBAL to use the adodb
interface and then configure your mssql stuff inside adodb.

For installing dbal get the tx_dbal from cvs and rename it to
typo3conf/ext/dbal.
The further steps are described in the .swx included into the cvs if i
remember correcty.
