I think that changes in architecture will 
encourage people as well.

As kasper wrote a long time ago: extensions are 
TYPO3's future. I suggest that cleaner 
architecture, which allows concepts such as 
"extension points" instead of XCLASSes, is TYPO3's 
next future and will take a HUGE load away from 
Kasper. This, in turn, will allow different people 
to concetrate on different things; it will allow 
them to learning the architecture quickly; it will 
allow them to fix, develop and help more easily.
