[Typo3-dev] rte links to plugin elements

Hello,

I have created an extension which is similar to Kaspers CD-collection
example. The plug in has a rte text area where I use the htmlArea editor.

What I like to do is enable the authors to link plug in elements in the
rte editor. Ie. link to single individual views of CD records in Kaspers
example.

How should this be done? Does it require changes in the plug in or do I
have to change the _browse_link.php file for the rte editor.


In the rtehtmlarea_browse_links.php file I found the following comment:

 * The mode determines the main kind of output from the element browser.
 * There are these options for values: rte, db, file, filedrag, wizard.
 * "rte" will show the link selector for the Rich Text Editor (see
 * main_rte())
 * "db" will allow you to browse for pages or records in the page tree
 * (for TCEforms, see main_db())

So it seems like there is a "db" mode which in principle should be able
to let me browse and select db-records from my plug in... But how should
this be done?
