[Typo3-dev] Bug in 3.8 FileFields?

Hi guys,

since Mantis totally forgot about my account I just wanted to ask if 
someone could confim this small issue:

if a file field in TCA is set to "required" I am not able to upload an 
image.
Background:
It is required to vale a value in the field, when I pick a file from the 
client harddisk and try to save (to upload the file) the field is not 
filled in.
Thus I can only pick files from fileadmin, since these values are 
written into the field directly.

Bug? Feature? Already reported?
